Ritesh Menon is a Writer, Director, Producer and Editor with over 17 years of experience.
Starting off by making social awareness documentaries (widely used by UNICEF and several state governments in India), music videos and corporate AV’S, Ritesh moved into the world of cinema by working on feature films in various capacities, eventually going on to co-write critically acclaimed Hindi feature film “Tahaan” directed by Santosh Sivan ASC, ISC as well as “Prarambha” a film on AIDS awareness produced by Mira Nair which went on to win 2 National Awards.
Ritesh directed his first feature film “Crazy Cukkad Family” produced by Prakash Jha as well as 5 Feature Length Indie films (Cineplays) with actors like Nandita Das, Saurabh Shukla, Swanand Kirkire, Parvin Dabbas, Sandhya Mridul, Lillete Dubey, Karanveer Mehra, Vikram Kochhar, Nakuul Mehta, Sanaya Irani, Nora Fatehi, Ninad Kamat, Plabita Borthakur, Gurdip Punj, among others.
Under the banner of Citoc Motion Pictures, of which he is the co-founder, Ritesh has also co-produced 24 feature length indie films with directors like Santosh Sivan, Nagesh Kukunoor, Nikhil Mahajan, Bikas Mishra, Akash Khurana & actors like Shreyas Talpade, Sonali Kulkarni, Arif Zakaria, Tanishtha Chatterjee, Sharad Kelkar, Kanwaljeet Singh, Shubha Khote, Maanvi Gagroo, Shivani Tanksale, Zakir Hussain, Rajpal Yadav, Manav Gohil to name a few.
Currently engaged in developing 2 web series' for varied OTT platforms, Ritesh is also building a social impact platform that intends to bring together people from all across the globe and create actionable discussions towards promoting oneness between cultures, nations, religions and our environment as a whole.
